Hey mate how are you germinating these?
Just in water under lights? That’s what I would normally do
I’m new to autos and it seems everyone I talk to over complicates this process
Any advice would be appreciated mate 🤟🏽
Ok, here is Cana's current method 📣
I have tried a few methods of germinating seeds over the years serching for a foolproof way to germinate my beans and they all worked but with cons... I have found my current method works a little better for autoflowers for me and I will share it with you.
I used to use the damp paper towel plastic bag humidity technique with mixed success, a few times the sprout root would grow into the paper towel and become one and I would have to plant a square of paper with the bean and I didn't like that.
So here is my new go to method is very simple.
-I take about a shot glass of dechlorinated tapwater and I ph it to 6.4
-Then a place the shotglass or ramekin on a heating mat set to 79°c
-I store my beans in my fridge, Roll out 1 bean out of the pack without touching it and gently float it in the shotglass without trying to sink it...
-Cover the shotglass with a dark cover and make sure to put the dome back on your heating mat then turn out the lights. It is a great idea also to add a small temperature thermometer to monitor the heat coming off your mat so you dont boil your bean.
In 1-3 days your bean should be popped open and ready to be planted. Gently scoop it out and plant it root down seed up!
Voila...
I hope this is clear and I hope this helps 🙏 🙌
